Healing is the journey: The destination is yourself.

‘Healing is the journey. The destination is yourself. The full recognition of all the different aspects of yourself.. your joy, your sorrow, your pain, your pleasure.. all lead you to the source of who you are. Only by having intimate contact with this source can you experience the fullness of your life. Only by fearlessly looking within can you embrace the landscape of your life and open yourself completely to all the love and compassion that lives inside you.’

  1. I promise I am not stalking your blog 🙂
I really love this one. To me, as I read it, I thought about what a great metaphor this is for DID. And how not so different it really is, in some ways from mindfulness in a broad sense. If you take for instance “joy, sorrow, pain, pleasure” many times parts will hold these emotions or in cases they will represent traumas. Of course, alters will also be separate identities, but..some will have jobs that handle only these types of emotions. Or some alters will handle only these emotions.
To heal, you must fearlessly look deep within and “embrace” them..as in the case with DID..because they are compartmentalized. That is how you heal. And begin to have a full life.
    Pretty neat, huh?
Thanks for sharing. This is beautiful. xxx -CC
