For a New Beginning by John O’Donohue

In out-of-the-way places of the heart,

Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.

For a long time it has watched your desire,
Feeling the emptiness growing inside you,
Noticing how you willed yourself on,
Still unable to leave what you had outgrown.

It watched you play with the seduction of safety
And the gray promises that sameness whispered,
Heard the waves of turmoil rise and relent,
Wondered would you always live like this.

Then the delight, when your courage kindled,
And out you stepped onto new ground,
Your eyes young again with energy and dream,
A path of plenitude opening before you.

Though your destination is not yet clear
You can trust the promise of this opening;
Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning
That is at one with your life’s desire.

Awaken your spirit to adventure;
Hold nothing back, learn to find ease in risk;
Soon you will be home in a new rhythm,
For your soul senses the world that awaits you.

Self Acceptance: Dr. Wayne Dyer

‘I will grow. I will become something new and grand, but no grander than I now am. Just as the sky will be different in a few hours, its present perfection and completeness is not deficient, so am I presently perfect and not deficient because I will be different tomorrow.’

Dr. Wayne Dyer

The Shadow Effect

“If we don’t look at where we’re dishonest, harsh, unforgiving, disrespectful, greedy, domineering, and so on, then we cannot change that thing. If we just suppress our shadow, trying to disown it, then it exists as an unintegrated fractal of our personality. And we have no power over what we have not explored.”

~Marianne Williamson, The Shadow Effect

Be This Virtue

‘There is no other in this world given the right or the power to define who you are.

4a706979479c762aafdb93f91f9c1a08No one shall rob you of your value, nor shall any other determine your worth.

None shall steal your integrity, decide your character, or destroy your authenticity.

No other shall discredit your success, seize your potential or dismantle your honor; and no one shall discourage your dreams, erase your spirit, or dissuade you from your truth.

None are given the power to diminish your love, shatter your confidence, efface your trust, or extinguish your passion.

No one shall lead you where you do not choose to go, nor shall anyone interrupt your unique relationship with your Self or your God.

Your free will is your right of empowerment. You, and only you, have the intrinsic design and the divine authority to walk beyond anything or anyone who does not enhance, encourage, or inspire your greatness.

No other is permitted to confiscate your happiness and replace it with guilt or fear… You have not traveled this great distance to be anything less than your own magnificence; and you are entitled to extraordinary joy. Your entitlement is your most powerful virtue.’
